It has been restored and renovated to host private and public events. Inquire about private rentals of the barn. This experiential farm features a summer butterfly house, chicken coop with egg laying hens, small urban orchard created with permaculture standards, honeybee hives and a wildflower field.
Book a private tour for your group to observe the life cycle of butterflies, explore winding trails, enjoy birding opportunities, cut your own wildflowers, and buy local honey. The property also includes examples of sustainable landscaping using permeable pavers for parking, walkways made of recycled tires, no now zones, turf grass and gardens managed through integrated pest management practices, rain gardens, rain barrels, and a green roof. It is registered with the Seneca Park Zoo as part of the monarch butterfly beltway. The farm has a DEC-regulated stormwater creek with a naturalized irrigation pond. Hops and soybeans are grown on the acreage.
The Garden Center hosts an ever-changing display of shade and sun plants. Local outdoor artwork is featured throughout the center.
