Drought Tips for Your Lawn
1 inch per week is recommended for your lawn in times of drought. An easy way to measure is to place a tuna can near your water source. When the can is full you’ve given the turf 1 inch of water.
Watering in the morning or evening is best to prevent evaporation.
“Grass cycle”, allow grass clippings to remain on your lawn, it will return beneficial nutrients and moisture.
Don’t mow at all during extreme drought if you must be sure to mow at the highest setting.
